Guy de Maupassant's "A Piece of String"

Guy de Maupassants character, Hauchcome, in A Piece of String, is the type of character who pick up everybody to agree with him to validate his opinion. Because of his need to be validated by others, Hauchcome makes his situation worse. Hauchcome is incriminate of picking up a travel bag and is taken to the mayor to be questioned. In the first base of the story, Hauchcome picks up a particle of string and doesnt sine qua non to be seen committing such a frugal act.
